Electrico 0-1 SRM: Kamarul First Goal Powers Visitors To Victory.

A single strike from winger Kamarul was enough to give SRM a win over Electrico FC yesterday.

Skipper Luqman introduced the new formation,4-3-3, and the change suits the team very well. Nisham started as the goalie, Aziwan maintained his spot at right-back, Syauqie filled in alongside his partner, Faris in central defence, Amir Hamzah as left-back and Shahrom lined up for the first time as Luqman's partner in midfield together with Kenneth. On the flanks, Kamarul started opposite Haniff supporting Chap as the lone striker. Unfortunately, Ali, Raja, Ammar and Meegan were unavailable for the match due to some personal problems.

The weather were just nice. The pitch condition was superb. Amazing. Everyone praised the Uniten Field and keep comparing it with MMU Stadium(MMU Padang Belakang is totally 'marvellous'). Sorry to say but their pitch was thousands time better than ours.

SRM started the match with attacking intentions, but were unable to find an opening in the Electrico defence in the opening minutes of the game. As usual, there were so many chances but got no finishing. SRM really needs a true finisher. SRM was going close after five minutes when good one touch passing finished with Shahom drilling a low shot just wide of the near post. However, two free kicks were conceded by rash Aziwan fouls, but luckily Electrico were just wasted the chances. Luqman, as the architect of SRM, lead the team with his easy pass. Shahrom popped up all over the midfield and attacking areas and eventhough the Electrico were quick to recover defensively, their guests' pace especially Shahrom was difficult to contain.

Haniff also got the chance to score but his strike saved by the keeper. After almost 450 minutes without a goal for SRM fans to celebrate, Kamarul finally notched his first goal in his two months as a football player, thanks to a low cross from dribbler Shahrom. The half time whistle blew. SRM lead by one goal to nil.

Skipper Luqman made two changes at half-time and by the hour mark, two more changes had been made. The second half was a little bit boring when the ball keep stuck at the middle of the field. No dangerous treat for both of the team but clearly SRM still hold the possession. The match ended with no injuries. A good news for the boss.

Congratulations guys. Best game ever. Especially at first half. Bravo. We still can improve our level. Once again, from the last 5 games, this is our best performance. Keep it up!
